THE BIG ISSUE STYLE MODEL (HOME)

I took inspiration from the Big Issue because I wanted to make news a priority on my website but still. maintain the contemporary style of my magazines throughout, which I think they do consistently despite their magazines not having a set house style.

The idea of having a tag for each overall topic creates a grab-and-go feel to the website and makes the articles easily accessible when on the go and in a rush, adhering to the lifestly of my target demographic. Furthermore, the headlines are brief and to the point, I don't want masses of unneeded text cluttering up the home page, because nobody has time to read it. Their photography is the main feature of each article, adhering to my editorial style, and the rule of three is pleasing to the eye without being too repetitive throughout the page, leaving room for other elements of mise-en-scene.

Though I do like the bold red, and it is my secondary colour throughout the first issue and overall website, I want to incorporate other colours into the topic tags in order to promote ideas of creativity and appeal to my own synesthesia. the colours will overall match the topic of the article, e.g. green=environment, with a base three colours of Red Blue and Green and Yellow acting as an indicator of COVID-related news, so people can prioritise their knowledge or avoid the topic on stressful days.
