ISSUE 2 PLAN

CONCEPT:
For the second issue I had to change my original idea due to covid restrictions being tightened and having to change the model from a friend to a family member, which therefore altered the narrative of the feature article. This ended up becoming a piece inspired my the prejudices against male femininity, which I find an interesting topic after having looked into Judith Butler's theory on Gender Performativity and further reading on the subject over quarantine. So, for the main images, I plan to use a male model with light (but noticeable) makeup on and bright flowers as mise-en-scene, which should give some accent colours to use for typography. The lighting will be natural as it is an outdoor shoot, but will overall be bright and high key, matching the floral aesthetic. This concept reads well with the Gen-Z population as it targets them specifically as the ones fighting for change in the prejudices surrounding Gender Politics in the adult media and further separates the TA for this magazine from the older adults that are more-commonly targeted in current affairs magazines.
